Bill Prather was born and raised in Southeastern Wyoming. He was fortunate to be mentored by some of the finest spiritual care givers of that day. He attributes his sensitivity to the call of God at a young age to the nurture, spiritual care and love that was given by his home church pastor. God lead Bill into a plethora of ministries not limited to traditional religious forms. For example, as a senior pastor, he taught Sundays, a preschool class of two & three year olds. He ministered as a youth pastor, children's pastor, family life pastor, pastoral counselor, marriage counselor, child counselor, associate pastor, senior pastor and more recently a chaplain. God has assigned him invitations to facilitate and speak in seminars, workshops, and pulpits of all faith groups and Christian denominations. Bill states, "My life in ministry is analogous to riding a bareback bronco. Twists and turns, ups and downs. It is God alone that has called me to this ride and He alone has kept me in the saddle. I am not worthy of having had this ministry experience and the spiritual exhilaration that goes along with it. God created me to experimental ministry outside of the box and has allowed me enjoyment of every minute. May I ever be mindful that all the glory is His and His alone." Presently, Bill is the director of Partners In Pastoral Care a non-profit ministry organization he founded in 2000. Partners In Pastoral Care has built it's foundation in the gifts of HELPS spoken of in 1 Corinthians 12:28. The Board of Directors is made up of men and women from various regions of the United States and are facilitators who minister to people concerning issues that cover "birth to the grave." His voice is loud and strong as an advocate for those sixty years and older. He insists that the Church is responsible to care for these "forgotten and sat aside" pioneers. He serves at Governor Jeb Bush's pleasure, on the Florida Department of Elderly Advisory Counsel and as a board member of numerous organizations dealing with issues of the elderly.
