Services Offered to the Corporate Environment

Serve as the Corporate Chaplain and Pastoral Mentor for all employees and immediate family members. Catholic, Protestants and Jews, along with representatives of other faith groups, will be secured when needed.

Provide Chaplain Emergency On-Call availability for crisis intervention, and work closely with executive leadership and/or management on any emergency situation or employee needs.

The Chaplain will develop relationships and maintain contact with personnel through work site visits to the company, organization, or institution. Additional contact with personnel will be by telephone communications, attendance at employee meetings (when requested by management), announcements on employee bulletin boards, and/or by other means to establish a trust and confidential relationship with employees.

The Chaplain will make jail visits to employees and family members who are incarcerated, as well as assisting the family during the time of separation. Also, assist employees to transition back into mainstream society.

The Chaplain will direct funeral/memorial services, to include helping families cope with grief, and planning the funeral service. Continual support for family members is provided after the funeral.

The Chaplain will officiate at weddings, including assistance in planning the ceremony, pre-marriage planning, and follow-up pastoral care to newlyweds.

The Chaplain will make hospital visits to all employees and family members, as well as home visits when appropriate, to employees and family members with serious, long-term and/or terminal illnesses.

The Chaplain will serve as the leader of the Death and Injury Notification Team to families of employees killed or injured in a job-related accident, or who dies of natural causes while on the job.

The Chaplain will provide confidential pastoral discussions for problem issues of employees and their immediate family members, including, but not limited to, marriage, divorce, serious illness, death and dying, child rearing, as well as other personal issues.

The Chaplain will assist management and employees with AIDS and HIV-related issues.

The Chaplain will assist executive leadership, management and employees in dealing with sexual harassment in the workplace, following company, organizational or institutional policy guidelines.

The Chaplain will provide post-termination pastoral care for laid-off or fired employees, in order to foster smooth transition to another work environment, and prevent potential retaliation toward the company, organization, or institution management or other employees.

The Chaplain will coordinate assistance for employees or immediate family members with drug dependency and/or psychiatric problems through outpatient or hospitalized care with an outside provider.

The Chaplain will design a Professional Referral Service, and act as the coordinator for specialized types of assistance to employees and/or family members with long-term needs (i.e., drug, alcohol, spouse abuse, etc.).

The Chaplain will draft "Letters of Concern," Letters of Sympathy," "Letters of Appreciation" and "Letters of Congratulations" to employees and family members, for the signature of the company, organization or institution President, CEO, or other designated executive leadership.

The Chaplain will participate in new employee orientation to explain the Chaplainry Program.

The Chaplain will write articles of interest or assistance for publications, as requested by management.

The Chaplain will advise the management on matters of religion, morals, and ethics as they impact individuals in the work place and on the company, organization or institution as a whole.

The Chaplain will speak for in-house or outside events when management desires an inspirational speaker.

The Chaplain will provide self-improvement materials (e.g., books, pamphlets, booklets, tracts, audio/video tapes) for employees and family members to help teach principles for successful and happy living, at cost to the company, organization or institution or its employees.

The Chaplain will represent the company, organization, or institution to clients, customers, and suppliers where it would be appropriate to have the Corporate Chaplain involved (i.e., serious illness, accidents, and funerals), as requested by management.

Positively and aggressively respond to other duties and services requested or assignments by the Executive Leadership.
