Biographical Synopsis


INTRODUCTION: David G. Rose has served as a local church pastor in Texas and Wisconsin. He is currently the Pastor of Friendship Church in Richmond, TX, a southwestern suburb of Houston. During his career, David has held positions in sales, marketing, training, and human resources with several organizations including Sear, Sanger Harris, Barker Shoe Stores, Silverleaf Resorts, and the Hurst-Euless-Bedford independent School District in the DFW Metroplex.

EDUCATION: David graduated from high school in Dallas, Texas, and earned an Associate in Arts Degree in Music and Speech from Southwestern Assemblies of God University. He then graduated from Central Bible College having earned a Bachelors in Arts Degree in Bible. Additionally, he has done post-graduate studies at Moody Bible College and Fuller Theological Seminary.

MINISTRY: Over the years, David has served in a full time post in almost every staff position available in a local church. At different times, the sign on his door stated one of the following: Pastor, Associate Pastor, Assistant Pastor, Senior Associate Pastor, Youth and College Pastor, Minister to Youth and Singles, Minister of Music and Fine Arts, Minister of Christian Education, and Minister to Hispanics. David has supervised as many as seven full time ministers at a time, and has coordinated all church ministries touching the lives of children through senior adult. This has included Prayer and Outreach/Prison Ministries, Christian Education, Drama/Music, Children, Pre-marital Seminars, Divorce Recovery, Senior Adult Ministries, Missions, Colleges, Teacher Training, Outreach/Evangelism, Finances and Fund Raising, Home Group Ministry, Youth Overseas Outreach, Counseling, and Singles. The average church attendance where David has severed has ranged in size from 86 to 2500 congregants. Annual budget for these churches ranged from $100,000 to $3 million.

COMMITTEES: Besides local church ministry, David has served on many boards and committees including: District Presbyter, Assistant District Youth and Christian Education Director, District Finance Committee Chairman, Minister's Relations Committee Chairman, Sectional Youth and Music Director, and Sectional Christian Education Director. David has been elected to the position of Sectional Committeeman in every Section in which he has located.

SPEAKIN ASSIGNMENTS: David has been called upon to speak at various key international, national, and regional events including the International Congress on the Bible in Jerusalem, National music Congress, National Christian Education Conference, Missions Conference in Minsk (Belarus), Leadership Training Seminar in Quito (Ecuador), Keynote speaker for the South Texas District Christian District Christian Education Tour, Keynote Speaker for the Wisconsin/N. Michigan District Speed The Light Tour, and was a recipient of the Fastest Growing Sunday School in Texas award at the National Sunday School Convention in Detroit (Michigan).

MEDIA: David has a strong background in radio and television ministry. He has often served as on-camera host on TBN Channel 58 in the Dallas Metroplex, and has participated in television or radio ministry in Houston, Dallas Metroplex, Milwaukee, Duluth-Superior Twin Ports, and Paul's Valley, Oklahoma.

FOUNDING ORGANIZATIONS: David has assisted in starting several organizations including Jesus Rallies of Milwaukee, Cavalcade of Choirs, Jesus Music Concerts, Preservation of African Cultural Heritage, Colleyville National Day of Prayer, the Civic and Moral Awareness Committee, the Harvest 2000 Committee in Fort Worth, Texas, and Partners in Pastoral Care.

TRAVELS: He has traveled and ministered in various countries in Europe, the Mid-East, South America and the former Soviet Union. His writings have appeared in recognized publications including Enrichment Magazine, Advance Magazine, Christian Education Counselor, Youth Leader Magazine, and A Family Affair. His booklets "RECEIVE," and "REVIVAL," have been distributed widely for use in local church ministry. For many years, David served as a curriculum reviewer for Standard Publishing Company.

CURRENTS: Besides serving as Senior Pastor at Friendship Church in Richmond, Texas, David is Founder/President of Rose Publications International, Inc., of Richmond, Texas, and Chief Executive Officer of Partners in Pastoral Care, Inc., of Fort Myers, Florida. He resides in Richmond, Texas with wife Sue. They have two daughters, Stacie and Melissa; both are married and are certified public school educators.
